Wednesday, November 5th was bring your son or daughter to work day here at SageTea Software. One of our programmers, Sasa, brought his 14 year old son, Vanja, a grade 9 student, to the office for the day.

However, it wasn’t going to be simply a day off of school for Vanja – he was going to get some instruction on our Text to Software tool and hopefully create a fully functioning application by the end of the day.

It is days like this that are very gratifying for our team. While we are quite confident that the Text to Software tool can help anyone use plain text to create software applications; we love to see real world examples to drive home the reality of what we have created.

Vanja had very little experience in creating any type of software prior to coming to the office on Wednesday. This truly was going to be an excellent case study of how easily someone with no formal training in programming could create a sophisticated software application.

By the end of the day, Vanja had validated what we had always believed about the power of the Text to Software tool by producing an application that organized information about students, books, and their schools. Vanja’s application was quite sophisticated – it accommodated the input, editing, storage and retrieval of information. His application could be used on a number of platforms including; desktop, mobile and web.

We are confident that this is only the beginning of the success stories that will come from users of the Text to Software tool. If you are interested in learning more about the Text to Software tool and how it takes the programming out of software development, we invite you to check out how you can turn words into results.
